The MBBS course in Nepal spans 5.5 years, which is similar to the Indian medical education structure. It is divided into two main phases: 4.5 years of academic study and 1 year of mandatory internship. The academic portion is further segmented into three phases – basic medical sciences (first 2 years), para-clinical subjects, and clinical rotations. During the final year, students undergo clinical training in hospitals affiliated with their respective colleges.
