Richemont Announces Catherine Rénier As CEO Of Van Cleef & Arpels

Richemont has announced a big change in leadership at one of its top brands. Catherine Rénier, currently the CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, will become the new CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels starting September 1, 2024.

Rénier, a French national with more than twenty years of experience in luxury jewelry and watchmaking, will take over from Nicolas Bos in this role. Bos, who recently became Richemont's CEO, will now oversee Rénier in her new position.

This marks a return to Van Cleef & Arpels for Rénier, where she previously worked from 2003 to 2018. During that time, she held different roles, including Deputy Marketing Manager in Paris and later President for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.

Rénier began her career at Richemont in 1999 at Cartier North America in New York as Retail Development Director. As CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre since 2018, she strengthened the leadership team and defined a clear brand strategy.

Nicolas Bos is excited about Rénier's appointment, noting her experience and understanding of Van Cleef & Arpels will contribute to its long-term success.

Due to Rénier's move, Philippe Hermann, Chief Financial Officer at Jaeger-LeCoultre, will serve as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found.

This change in leadership comes during a period of growth and innovation in the luxury industry, as Richemont positions its brands for future success in a changing market.
